(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s consumer price index in April saw a month-on-month increase of 2.98 per cent, the highest increase since the beginning of the year, according to the Department of Industry and Trade
The rise represents an increase of 15.08 percent compared to the same period last year and 8.85 percent against last December.
The strongest increase is seen in transport, 6.04 percent, restaurant service, 4.4 percent, construction materials, housing, electricity, water, 2 percent.
Transport posted the highest rise of 6.04 percent due to the rising in petrol prices, which made it possible for transport service businesses to raise fares by 10-20 percent.
The prices of restaurant services also increased by 4.4 percent, while housing, electricity, water, and construction materials reported a 2 percent increase after the gas price was raised.
