However, thanks to applying advanced technology in pepper cultivation, the pepper garden of Mr. Tran Huu Thang in Xuan Loc district’s Xuan Tho commune reached a capacity of between 7-10 tons/ha, the highest capacity in Dong Nai until now.

After that, he continued to apply suitable cultivation techniques and used microorganism organic fertilizers instead of chemical fertilizers. As a result, his pepper garden reached a capacity of 8 tons/ha in 2008; the figure increased to 10 tons over past two years and is expected to over 10 tons this year. Thang got the profit of VND200-600 million per hectare on average.
According to this farmer, pepper price presently stays at VND93,000 a kilogram, so he could get the profit of VND850 million/ha
