(ĐN)- Over the past two years, industrial enterprises in Dong Nai province have spent over VND 800 billion on building their waste water treatment systems to reduce the environmental pollution caused by them and their treatment has met the requirements of the national standards. Accordingly, they have been removed from the blacklist, accounting for about 30 per cent of the total number of polluters in the blacklist.
During the period, 19 out of 21 industrial zones in the province have brought their consolidated wastewater treatment systems into operation.
Dong Nai is ranked among the top provinces and cities in the country that realize a fast improvement in the environmental quality by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
