The ceremony was attended by Chairman and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and Tran Minh Phuc, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Huynh Chi Thang.

According to Department of Finance, Dong Nai’s total budget collection reached more than VND21.5 trillion in 2010, a 49 percent increase over the estimates and a year-on-year rise of 160 percent. Of the total, domestic collection gained over VND12 tril, fulfilling 140 percent of the estimates, collection from import-export activities was more than VND8.5 trillion, making up 165 percent of the yearly target. Meanwhile, the State budget expenditures was estimated at more than VN6.6 trillion or 100 percent of the year’s plan, of which regular spending was nearly VND4 tril, investment and development spending was more than VND1.7 tril.
In 2011, total budget revenues in Dong Nai are expected to reach over VND20 trillion, including nearly VND12 tril from domestic collection and VND7.6 tril from imports-exports. The province’s spending will be around VND7.2 trillion this year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Tran Minh Phuc praised efforts made by the finance department in the past year to and stressed that the department needs to overcome shortcomings in budget collection and expenses, effectively use and manage the investing capital from the State Budget.
