(ĐN)- The strong fluctuations of feed ingredient prices will affect the selling price of Bibica’s products like cake and candy on the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival, Deputy General Director of the Bien Hoa Confectionery Joint Stock Company (Bibica) Phan Van Thien said. Accordingly, prices of Bibica’s cake and candy products are expected to increase about 8% on the Tet Festival.
Prices of common ingredients such as flour, milk, flavoring… rose by 20-30% compared with the same period last year. Especially, costs of some ingredients including sugar jumped by over 50 percent.
The Deputy General Director of Bibica also said that the company tries to limit the increase in the minimum level of 8% in the selling price of its products against the actual increase of 15% caused by high production costs.
Kinh Do Group, Vietnam’s leading confectioner also announced that the prices of its products would increase by 12% on the Tet Festival.
