In the first nine months of this year, Dong Nai’s total retail sales rose nearly 26 percent year-on-year to around VND38 tril, representing 66 per cent of the year’s plan. The non-State sector contributed the most to the sales growth with nearly 27 per cent, followed by the foreign-invested sector, up nearly 21 per cent, and the State sector, up 17 per cent.
Meanwhile, the September consumer price index (CPI) in Dong Nai saw a month-on-month increase of 0.59 percent.
Gold prices made a surge of 3.57 percent over the previous period while the US dollar value climbed by 1.67 percent.
All 10 groups of commodities in the province witnessed slight increases in prices, fluctuating below 1 percent, including garments and footwear, food and catering services, transportation, beverage and tobacco….
As a result, the nine-month CPI in Dong Nai increased by 5.67 percent compared to the same period last year. However, Dong Nai’s CPI increase in the nine- month period was at a low level compared with that of two big cities like Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city.
