The meeting was also attended by representatives from local departments and agencies and the investor, Advanced International JSC (AIC).

Addressing at the meeting, the Vice Chairman urged relevant agencies to speed up site clearance and hand over the ready land to the investor. He also asked the investor to build the rubbish treatment plant with reasonable investment cost which will be able to accept industrial and household waste from Bien Hoa city, Trang Bom and Vinh Cuu districts and treat it with environmental friendly technology to convert it into useful products.
The facility will be built on a site of more than 50 hectares at Vinh Tan rubbish dump in Vinh Cuu district. It will help to reduce the volume of buried waste and narrow down waste-dumping sites in the province.
Trang Dai ward’s rubbish dump in Bien Hoa city has become overloaded. Nearly 1,000 tonnes of household waste a day is produced in the city. Every year, Bien Hoa city sees an increase of 5-7 per cent in industrial and household waste.
