(ĐN)- Zamil Steel Vietnam (ZSV) has just signed a deal to build a large-scale pre-engineered steel building for steelmaker Pomina Joint Stock Co., a member of Thep Viet Corp., in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province’s Phu My Industrial Park.
Covering nearly 30,000 sq. m, the steel building will consume 6,500 tons of steel for fabrication, all to be designed and constructed by Zamil Steel.
“We are proud of being selected again by Pomina to supply the steel package for the important project,” said Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong, regional manager for South and Central Vietnam and Cambodia of ZSV. “This project is a steel factory with very high complex, especially heavy crane 230MT operated. It is designed by updated code and the structural design will be evaluated by third party – Parsons Brinckerhoff, one of the biggest engineering groups of USA”
The steel building with an annual output of one million tons is scheduled to complete in June 2011. With its new project, Pomina Steel J.S Co will increase its total forged steel capacity to 1,5 million tons/year, becoming the biggest forged steel enterprise in the country. The factory will be one of 20 companies in the world to apply Italian advanced Consteel-Techint technology.
So far, the ZSV has invested nearly US$50 million into its two factories in Ha Noi’s Noi Bai Industrial Zone and Dong Nai province’s Amata IZ. These factories produced a total of 100,000 tons of steel buildings per year.
