As a result, the eight-month CPI increased by 5.05 percent compared to the same period last year.
Commodities which saw the highest price increases include garments and footwear, food and catering services with 0.77 percent and 0.54 percent, respectively.
Other groups saw slight decreases including construction materials, housing, post and telecommunication services….
The CPI inched up 0.14 per cent in urban areas and 0.12 per cent in rural areas in the month.
