(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s economy gradually surmounted difficulties and oriented to higher growth in 2010. Most of industries, in particular those that have import-export activities, showed positive signs on business activities.
The province saw positive signs of foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction in this period. Dong Nai’s industrial parks attracted US$114.2 mil in FDI in the first three months of the year, according to Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA). The figure included US$14.5 million in registered capital from 5 new projects and a combined addition of approximately US$100 million from 9 operational projects.
The province also licensed three new domestic projects with a combined registered capital of nearly VND290 billion.
However, in the first three months of the year, Dong Nai saw only a slight increase in industrial production value. Therefore, local enterprises are warming up their plans to enhance their competitiveness ability and recover their position on the market. In the coming time, the province will also continue to seek foreign investment for hi-tech industries and environmentally-friendly projects.
