(ĐN)- The launching ceremony to promote the use of Vietnamese goods took place in Thong Nhat district’s Quang Trung Commune, Dong Nai province on Friday. It was the first event of its kind in Dong Nai with the aim to encourage local consumers to use domestically-made products.

In August, 2009, the Political Bureau approved the launch of a drive dubbed “Vietnamese give priority to Vietnamese goods,” a large-scale campaign aiming not only at inspiring patriotism and national pride but also building a consumer culture in the public and helping local businesses improve competitiveness on the local market. The appeal to use Vietnamese goods has received positive response from both local consumers and businesses. Large distribution enterprises inside and outside the province have launched mobile sales to serve rural areas since September last year.
After the launching ceremony, the campaign was kicked off with mobile sales service at Thong Nhat district from April 23-25.
