(ĐN)- Cathay Life Insurance Co., Taiwan’s largest life insurance firm opened a branch office in Dong Nai on Thursday.
Located in Dong Khoi street in Tan Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city, the new branch office is a part of Cathay Vietnam Life Insurance’s strategy to expand its branches to other provinces and cities of the country. Cathay has been present in Vietnam since 2004 and it got operational permission from Vietnam"s Finance Ministry in December 2007. Cathay Vietnam Life Insurance Company has become the first Asian firm to establish a life insurance business in Viet Nam .
Cathay Vietnam has $60 million in chartered capital, which is more than the minimum VND600 billion ($37.5 million) as regulated by Vietnam law.
Cathay Vietnam has made its presence known in the major cities of Ha Noi, HCM City and Da Nang, Can Tho with Dong Nai as the latest.
