(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee has approved a rural electricity network development project for ethnic minority villages and heroic villages in the province.
The project, covering the two year period 2008-2009, estimated to cost about VND 22.344 billion, would bring electricity to ethnic minority groups in Dong Nai. Under the project, 250.182km of low-voltage lines will be built.
In this project, the Provincial People’s Committee has asked the Dong Nai Province Electricity Company to install a 130,744 km long low voltage lines in rural areas with a total cost of VND 11.055 billion.
Although facing many difficulties in 2008, the Company invested about VND 4.993 billion to construct a 63.338 km long low voltage lines in ethnic minority villages during the last year.
This year, the company plans to install the remaining low voltage cables in rural areas.
