Dong Nai begins a pilot project to grow 40 new cassava varieties

(ĐN)- Ho Sau, a farmer cultivating 80 hectares of cassava in Nhon Hoa hamlet, Tay Hoa commune, Trang Bom district has cooperated with Vietnam Agriculture Science Institute, Agriculture and Forestry University to implement a pilot project to grow 40 new cassava varieties.

(ĐN)- Ho Sau, a farmer cultivating 80 hectares of cassava in Nhon Hoa hamlet, Tay Hoa commune, Trang Bom district has cooperated with Vietnam Agriculture Science Institute, Agriculture and Forestry University to implement a pilot project to grow 40 new cassava varieties. Accordingly, new high-yielding cassava varieties will be collected to grow on a large scale in the province. Currently, KM140 and KM94 are two new cassava varieties with high yield and high starch content, said Ho Sau. Cassava yields and production in several areas have nearly tripled due to the planting of new high-yielding cassava varieties.
