Agricultural Encouragement Center of Nhon Trach district offered the encouragement and support for An to breed guinea fowl. The birds are kept for about 3 months and reach a weight of a weight of 1.2 - 1.3 kg. Adult guinea fowl are commonly marketed at 12 weeks of age and sold at VND 100,000 per kg. An gets a profit of between VND 50,000 – VND 60,000 per bird.

An is building up a flock of guinea fowls including both males and females that will produce better keets and eggs. Female guinea fowl can start laying as early as 16 weeks old. The females will lay 20-30 eggs in their nesting season.
