Bien Hoa city is the second largest producer of fresh vegetables in Dong Nai (ranks next to Xuan Loc district). Vegetables is one of major cash crops in Bien Hoa city. The local vegetables growers are able to gain income of about 200 million VND per hectare per year. At present, the city’s Economic Office is promoting safe vegetable production by providing training to local farmers. This aims at helping farmers raise their income while agricultural land is decreasing due to urbanization and industrialization.
