Vietnam’s largest robusta coffee producing plant to raise capacity to 90,000 tons/year

(ĐN)- An Giang Coffee Company (AGC), Vietnam’s leading robusta coffee producer, is planning to raise capacity of its plant from 60,000 tones/year to 90,000 tones this year.

(ĐN)- An Giang Coffee Company (AGC), Vietnam’s leading robusta coffee producer, is planning to raise capacity of its plant from 60,000 tones/year to 90,000 tones this year and 120,000 tones in future. The plant’s coffee products are exported to 20 countries, including the EU, USA and Japan.

In 2007, the company earned around $80 million from coffee exports. In the first half of the year, the AGC exported 35,000 tones of coffee valued at over $60 million.

The company is expected to achieve a total revenue of VND2,861 billion this year, up VND800 billion year-on-year. Of which, export turnover is estimated to reach more than $160 million, an increase of over $40 million. In the coming time, the AGC will build a plant with an annual capacity of 25,000 tones in Dak Lak.
