(ĐN)- Donafoods has posted an export-import turnover of US$35 million for the first seven months of the year; of which, export generated US$25 million, an increase of 40 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The company’s main exports are cashew nuts and oil, hand-made pottery, and some new products. Donafood currently employs 11,000 laborers, with an average monthly income of VND1.8 million per person. Its total import-export turnover is expected to reach more than US$70 million this year, including US$55 million worth of exports.
In order to boost production and increase the competitiveness capacity, Donafoods plans to invest in modern production line, build factory, develop hi-tech agricultural zone with an area of 600 hectares in Xuan Loc district, increase the rubber tree planting area to 3,000 hectares, etc. According to the plan, Donafoods will be equitized in the second quarter of 2008.
