E United Group seeks investment opportunity in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai received a Taiwanese delegation from E United Group in Dong Nai on Sunday afternoon, May 21.

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai  received a Taiwanese delegation from E United Group in Dong Nai on Sunday afternoon, May 21. The visiting delegation said that Taiwanese based E United Group intends to build a furnace steel refinery in Vietnam and this is the second visit to Vietnam by E United Group to learn about investment environment in the country. They also expressed special interest on industry zone which has favourable conditions to develop steel industry. They said that E United Group’s project will need an area of 500 ha and the project costs US$ 2.8 billion in all and plans include melting and hot rolling capacity 5 million tonnes of carbon steel and 1 million tonnes of stainless steel per annum. Taiwanese based E-United Group, is the island’s second-largest steel conglomerate, with several production units in Taiwan and in China. Besides, the Group also invests in health care, education and entertainment etc.

Vice Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai said he welcomed E United Group’s visit to Dong Nai. Thai also said competent investors are welcomed in Dong Nai. He hoped that the Group can find investment opportunity in the province. During the stay in Dong Nai, the delegation visited Ong Keo Industrial Zone in Nhon Trach district.
