(ĐN)- A signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between Dong Nai province and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) was held at the office of the provincial People’s Committee late last week.

According to the agreement, PetroVietnam will study to invest in the province’s projects in the fields of finance, security, insurance, tourism, real estate trading; infrastructure investment and urban area development projects; construction of ports, industrial parks, etc. In the short term, the Group will plan to invest in Phuoc An general service port, Ethanol production plant, infrastructure and urban area development projects. Besides, PetroVietnam is also going to create conditions for its subsidiary companies to cooperate with Dong Nai’s enterprises to invest in the province’s key projects. Moreover, the Group pledged to supply gas for gas-used production lines at factories in Dong Nai.
On the occasion, the PetroVietnam’s representative donated VND500 million to build new houses for poor ethnic people in Dong Nai province. As known, the Group is planning to build a 1,200 MW gas-fuelled power factory with total investment of more than VND1 billion in Nhon Trach.
