The southern province of Dong Nai has so far this year attracted more than 98 million USD worth of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), doubling the figure of the same period last year.

During the reviewed period, the province licensed six FDI projects with a combined registered capital of more than 31.8 million USD. Meanwhile, 16 operating projects were permitted to inject 66.5 million USD to their investment capital.
Dong Nai is so far home to 779 licensed FDI projects by investors from 31 countries and territories around the world with a total registered capital of more than 9.1 billion USD. Eighty-five percent of the projects have been put into operation, generating jobs for more than 260,000 local workers.
The province hopes to woo an additional 1.2 billion USD worth of FDI in 2007.
