Northern Italian businesses encouraged to invest in Viet Nam

Italian governmental officials in northern Brexia and Mantova provinces have affirmed to encourage their businesses to invest in and promote trade with Viet Nam.

The affirmation was made by the officials while speaking to the Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Van Nam, who toured a number of Italian provinces, on Feb. 8.

Dr Francesco Paolo Tronca, a representative of the Italian Government in Brexia province, praised Viet Nams achievements in national construction. Brexia is one of the largest industrial provinces in Italy and has many prospects so that it could help to set up trade and investment ties with Viet Nam, said Dr Tronca, affirming his willingness to lead a local entrepreneurs delegation to explore cooperation possibilities in Viet Nam.

Dr. Giuseppe Oneri, a representative of the Italian Government in Mantova province, pledged to encourage local food processing giants to open business or invest in Viet Nam.

The Mantova Chamber of Commerce and Industry said a business delegation from his province will visit Viet Nam to conduct market surveys and set up parnership in trade and investment.

Ambassador Nguyen Van Nam took this opportunity to present Vietnamese economic advantages and possible projects in association with Italy. He also briefed Italian businesses about Vietnamese policies in trade and investment.
