In the early days, the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneur Association had only 36 members. Over the course of time, however, the number of members has increased dramatically and they now have 130 members from enterprises in the province.

The Association was founded with the purpose of assisting members in developing their business production activities and assisting community development. Over the past three years, many firms who are members of the Association have already invested in new technology and equipment in order to enhance production capacity and increase the market share. They account for 65 per cent of the membership. They include Truong Hai Auto Company, Dong Tam Ceramic Company and Donafoods company …. They have succeeded in expanding their businesses nationwide. They have built their facilities across the country and facilities are located closer to material sources in order to save costs in production. In addition, the Association operates to assist members in Brand promotion and publicity as well as assist in creating favorable conditions for members of the Association to develop sales through distribution network channels across the country. Among members of the association there are many outstanding young entrepreneurs who were presented with Red Star Award and the Vietnam Golden Star Award and received honourable prizes such as Pham Duc Binh, Director General of Thanh Binh Company, Phan Ho Nhut, Diector of Dong Tam Ceramics Company…
The Association has been very successful in the economic field and they have also gained prestige in the community via their significant contributions to the community. Over the past three years, the association has actively taken part in charitable campaigns and socio-cultural activities such as offering free careers guidance and advice to students in Dong Nai, creating jobs for poor young people, presenting bicycles to poor students and so on. Especially, the Association is involved in building houses for poor families and social policy beneficiaries and Tan Phu district’s ethnic minority people.
During the past three years, Dong Nai Young Business Association has tried to maintain periodic meetings for the purpose of gathering members in order to discuss problems in production and business. With the consult of the Confederation of Danish Industries (Dansk Industri - DI), the Association has launched its office to provide necessary services and supports to members of the association. Besides, Dong Nai young business joint stock company has been set up with the aim of introducing and helping member businesses to buy the stock of bankrupt companies for reinvestment purposes.
In the second tenure (2006-2009), the association will implement programs to develop member businesses, lend capital to the businesses, raise the competitiveness of business and develop community.
