It has become the first choice for many new companies in Vietnam, especially those that need easy access to shipping facilities, reliable power and water supply systems, and a green environment to attract and retain highly qualified employees.
The Amata Industrial Park is now home to over 80 international corporations and companies such as Amanda Foods, Bayer Vietnam, Fukuyama Gosei, Gannon, Japan Steel Engineering, Kao Consumer Goods; NOK, Ritches, Ritec, Sanko Mold; San Miguel , Wacoal Corporation, YKK, and Zamil Steel.
As a joint-venture project between the Amata Corporation Public Company Limited, Thailand, and Sonadezi Bien Hoa, Vietnam, the Amata Industrial Park was established in December 1994 on an area of 700ha, of which 129ha was developed in the first phase with high-quality infrastructure. According to Dr. Huynh Ngoc Phien, President of Amata (Vietnam), Dong Nai province currently has more than 19 industrial parks and is one of the provinces that attract the most of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam.
However, Vietnam in general and Dong Nai province in particular need to take necessary measures and apply appropriate policies to attract more FDI and to make the most of available advantages in terms of strategic location, security, and stable sociopolitical system. And one of the most important measures is to bring into play the important role of industrial parks in the country’s economic development, especially when Vietnam is in the process of industrialization and modernization. The Amata Industrial Park is expediting its second phase of development and will remain one of the most successful industrial parks in Vietnam.
