(ĐN)- According to figures revealed by the Provincial Bureau of Statistics, Dong Nai province’s industrial production value in the first quarter is estimated to achieve over VND11,117 billion, up 16 percent over the previous year. This increase is primarily a result of an increase in revenues from central state-owned enterprises of 11%, the non-State enterprises of 20%, and foreign-invested sector of 18%.

Some industries posted high production value such as agriculture products and food processing achieved VND 3,030 billion , up 33%; textile and footwear enterprises hit VND 2,609 billion, up 25%; wood processing raised 14% with VND 571 billion; manufacture of products from rubber and plastic raised nearly 10% with VND 407 billion. However, the production value of some industries, such as mechanical and metallurgy products,  mine ores and building materials, etc has dropped slightly in the first quarter because of unstable consumption market and high input material prices.
