Donafoods Thai Binh comes into operation

(ĐN)- Donafoods Thai Binh just went into operation in Cau Nghin industrial park (IP), Thai Binh province. This is a joint venture between Dong Nai Import Export Processing Agricultural Product Company (Donafoods) and Australia’s MWT Foods with total investment of nearly VND 100 billion.

(ĐN)- Donafoods Thai Binh just went into operation in Cau Nghin industrial park (IP), Thai Binh province. This is a joint venture between Dong Nai Import Export Processing Agricultural Product Company (Donafoods) and Australia’s MWT Foods with total investment of nearly VND 100 billion. Of which, Donafoods owns a 70% equity stake while Australia’s MWT Foods holds the remaining 30%. The new factory is installed with the latest high tech machineries to ensure its food hygiene and safety criteria in accordance with European standards. Capacity of the factory stands at 30,000 tons products per year. The new factory is expected to generate US$ 20-25 million in export turnover per year. Today, the factory employs 1,500 labors.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Viet, Chairman of Thai Binh People’s Committee says that this is the largest investment project in Cau Nghin IP which has been so far completed the first phase.

Donafoods Company announces that the new factory will enter its second phase to expand the production for export. Accordingly, the factory will increase dramatically specialized processing capacity for potatoes, cucumbers, seaweeds. At the same time, the factory will develop material zones in Northern border provinces for planting Macadamia tree imported from Australia.

Mr. Vo Van Mot, Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee believes firmly in excellent operations of Donafoods Thai Binh which will result in record production and sales.

“The trial project involving planting Macadamia tree will make available raw material supplies required for Donafoods Thai Binh. Its products, hence, will gain a firm increase in export turnover. In addition, developing material zones in Northern border provinces will create more jobs and income for farmers in above localities” said Mot at the inauguration ceremony to mark the start of production of Donafoods Thai Binh.
