BP Vietnam, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam) have signed an agreement to develop Nhon Trach Electricity Centre in southern Dong Nai province from Nam Con Son gas sources.
BP Vietnam, Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam) have signed an agreement to develop Nhon Trach Electricity Centre in southern Dong Nai province from Nam Con Son gas sources.
According to a BP press release on March 20, the project aims to develop new mines in the Nam Con Son area to supply gas for the electricity centre in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai.
The Nhon Trach Electricity Centre will have an estimated capacity of 2,640MW and need around 2.5 million cu.m of gas a year.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Trade Nguyen Xuan Thuy said the ministry will direct and give timely support to help implement the project successfully, contributing to promote the development of the Vietnamese electricity and oil and gas sectors.
