The company’s wide variety of products

Established in 1962, the Bien Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company is a leader in providing input materials to milk, coffee, soft drink, confectionery, and seasoning production enterprises. Each year, the company supplies more than 70,000 tonnes of refined sugar and 18,000 tonnes of molasses to those businesses, contributing a great deal to enhancing the growth of the provinces industrial and trade sectors. The company contributed more than VND63.8 billion to State coffers during 2001-2004.

Apart from serving domestic market, the company has exported its products to several world countries. It exported 12,500 tonnes of refined sugar to Iraq in 1999, generating an export value of more than US$3.5 million. In 2000, it earned US$8.8 million from exporting 33,210 tonnes of refined sugar to Iraq, several countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China. Specifically, the company took bold steps to invest in a confectionery enterprise that has become famous nationwide under the BIBICA trademark.

The company always seeks to improve product quality and bring added value to its products in favor of the customers. To become more active in the input material sources, the company built a raw sugar production plant in Tay Ninh provinces Hoa Thanh district that has a daily capacity of 3,500 tonnes of sugar cane per day, a cane farm covering more than 900ha, and a microbiological fertilizer production factory with an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes. Further, the company signs stable contracts with local farmers to collect raw sugar and molasses to enable them to expand production.

Alongside the national economic development, the company has always been an active member of the Vietnams sugar sector. Its operational motto is to provide the society with the best products and services. During its long development process, the company often harmoniously combines the interest of the society, the enterprise, and the laborers.

To achieve its development goals, the company manages to boost the production capacity of its sugar plant in Tay Ninh to 6,000 tonnes per day. This is part of a project to establish a modern processing complex of sugar and by-products in the west of Vam Co Dong River. Alongside increasing the cane pressing capacity, the company will develop an additional 20,000 material growing area, thus creating more jobs to the society. The company also invests in producing sugar by-products like alcohol from sugar syrup, plywood, and fertilizers.
