VINACOM laptops hold Guiness Book of Vietnam Records title

(ĐN) – The Guiness Book of Vietnam Records officially recognized VINACOM laptops for recording the first –ever Vietnamese branded laptop computer. This has been announced through the media and bookstore records as well as any disclosure that such record. On August 14, a formal ceremony was held in Suoi Tien Tourist Area (Fairies Stream) to aim at awarding certificate and cup to the Dac Nhan Telecom and Informatics Shareholding Company which entered into the Guiness Book of Vietnam Records.

The Dong Nai Computer Center that has been renamed as Dac Nhan Telecom and Informatics share-holding company launched the first ever laptop computers bearing its brand name in March 17, 2001 . VINACOM laptops were cheaper 30% - 35% than foreign-made laptops while they met equivalent quality standards. This was demonstrated through certifying from Intel Vietnam . VINACOM laptops emerged rapidly as a best-selling products in the market and they were warmly welcomed in a number of the domestic users. This resulted from local executives becoming increasingly interested in what laptops could offer and they needed to travel much more than previously as well as booming in Vietnamese e-commerce.
