(ĐN) – Yesterday morning of June 2, a ceremony marked the 30th anniversary of Dong Nai Rubber Company ‘s establishment was held formally in Suoi Tre (Bamboo Spring) tourist area. Though going through countless difficulty and obstacle during last years, their staff has tried their best to speed up the company’s development. Up to now, their production has been kept stable and obtained good results. Living standards of their employees have been raised higher than before. At present, their area of rubber tree growing is 37,853 hectares with a new high-yield variety to be cultivated there. The yield raised 1.5 times against 1975 (the founded year). Up to 2004, thanks to modern technique application to cultivation and taking care rubber trees, the company has the annual average yield of rubber latex of 1.5 tones per hectare. This increased 3 times against 1975. Besides, they have expanded their production and equipped with modern machinery and equipment in the company. As a result, their output raised 7 times against 1975. Furthermore, their products have been diversification and obtained high quality. The company made it in the top list of Vietnam Rubber industry about its best infrastructure.
During past 30 years, they have taken an active part in charity work. 315 houses of gratitude have been built for war invalids or martyrs families in the local. VND 800 millions have been donated to build houses for beneficiaries of social welfare in other places. They also contributed another VND 500 millions to build houses for the poor people and so on.
The company deserves a reward for their active attributions to the social activities as well as best achievements in their production. They have been awarded Labour and Independence Medals and others. Especially, the company received the 2nd grade Independence Medal on this occasion of the 30th anniversary of its establishment.
