In recent times, livestream sales sessions featuring local products have regularly been held at numerous cultural, tourism and culinary events. These sessions have become a channel for promoting and selling local products and tourism offerings, helping stimulate consumer spending and travel while driving growth in Dong Nai City's tourism and service sectors.

Among these activities, organizing livestream markets that combine sales of products under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program with tourism promotion is one of the key tasks undertaken by the Dong Nai Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center to showcase local products, regional specialties and tourist destinations across the city.

Connecting and promoting local products

Livestream sales of OCOP products have emerged as a new approach to trade and tourism promotion in Dong Nai City in recent years. The model combines e-commerce, digital communications, and tourism promotion, bringing together numerous businesses, cooperatives, individual OCOP producers, and tourism service providers.

Unlike conventional livestream sales conducted independently by individuals or businesses, this model operates as a centralized promotional and sales event, featuring a unified theme, a carefully prepared script, professional hosts, invited guests, designated broadcast locations, a selected range of products, and coordinated communication activities before, during, and after each event.

At local cultural, tourism, and culinary events, as well as exhibitions held in other provinces, the Dong Nai Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center regularly organizes livestream sales events featuring tourism products and OCOP goods. Entities, businesses, and individuals wishing to sell their products online can register to participate, prepare their products, and provide relevant product information for the livestream sessions.

Bringing products to digital platforms

Dong Nai has a diverse range of OCOP products, well-known local specialties, and tourism operators offering nature-based tours. During livestream sessions, regional fruits, processed agricultural products, and notable tourist attractions are introduced to consumers through stories about the products, along with any available promotions, such as discount vouchers or gifts with purchases. These activities aim not only to boost sales but also to help build Dong Nai's local brand image, expand markets for regional specialties, and attract visitors to experience the city firsthand.

Tran Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Director in charge of the Dong Nai Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center, said the center aims to develop livestream sales into one of its regular channels for promoting trade, services, and tourism. These livestream sales events will help promote Dong Nai's key groups of specialty products and showcase its notable tourist destinations at events.

Alongside livestream sales programs, the center is implementing comprehensive communication and promotional activities to introduce local tourism and specialty products. Specifically, the center is developing dedicated pages and thematic sections; producing promotional videos and clips featuring investment, trade, and tourism activities; organizing a photography contest showcasing the beauty of Dong Nai; promoting Dong Nai tourism on flights; developing distinctive tourism gift sets; and publishing thematic travel brochures covering cultural and spiritual tourism, historical and cultural tourism, and ecotourism.

To enrich and diversify the content of livestream sessions, the Dong Nai Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center also organizes fact-finding trips in conjunction with seminars on tourism development, produces digital tourism maps providing information on routes and destinations, and compiles the guidebook "Dong Nai Culture, Tourism, and Cuisine – Come and Experience."
