Spreading "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" movement

In recent days, commendation ceremonies honoring children of civil servants and employees under the “Academic Excellence and Good Conduct” movement have been held by Trade Union organizations at all levels across Dong Nai. These events have become a driving force, fostering a spirit of learning among the students.

The certificates of merit and awards presented at the ceremonies reflect the pride of countless students and workers' families. They recognize academic achievements and encourage students to continue pursuing their dreams, cultivating their character, and becoming useful citizens for society.

Fostering spirit of learning

For many years, the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" movement launched by the Trade Union has become a highlight in caring for the children of civil servants and employees. Behind every certificate of merit is a story of perseverance. Many mothers spend every night helping their children review lessons, while many fathers work extended hours to earn additional income for books and tuition. These quiet sacrifices have inspired many students to strive for excellence throughout their school levels.

Vo La Xuan Thao, a fifth-grade student and child of La Xuan Tien, an employee of Pou Chen Vietnam Enterprise Ltd. (Bien Hoa Ward), is among the students recently honored with the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" title. "My parents both work shifts and sometimes come home very late. I understand their hardships, so I always remind myself to study hard. Every score of 9 or 10 is not only my own joy but also a gift to my parents after their exhausting days at work," said Xuan Thao.

Tran Ngoc Khanh, the child of Tran Ngoc Man, a production manager at Royal G.M.T Co., Ltd. (Binh Minh Commune), was also a student recognized under the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" movement. During his three years at Tri An High School, Khanh earned numerous achievements, including a second prize in Mathematics at the school level, a second prize in Mathematics at the provincial level, and a second prize in the provincial defense sports competition. He also received the "3 Good Student" title at the school level, along with many other notable achievements.

Ngoc Khanh said every achievement he has attained is the result of continuous effort, together with the support and encouragement of his family and teachers. Being honored by the Dong Nai Trade Union with the “Academic Excellence and Good Conduct” title is an honor and a source of pride, as well as motivation for him to continue striving, improving himself, and achieving even better results in his studies and life.

Le Quoc Huy, the son of Le Thi Hanh, a worker at Amata Industrial Park (Long Binh Ward), is another example of perseverance in overcoming hardship to excel in his studies. His father passed away at an early age, leaving his mother to raise her two children alone. Understanding his mother's hardships, Quoc Huy has always been determined to study hard. "I know my mother always wants me to have a better future. Therefore, I will study hard so that I can have a stable job in the future, support my family, and become a useful person for society," said Huy.

Providing greater motivation

As the whole country is promoting patriotic emulation movements and developing high-quality human resources, caring for and nurturing the younger generation, particularly the children of civil servants and employees, has become even more meaningful. Today's "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" role models will become tomorrow's engineers, doctors, scientists, and skilled workers, continuing to contribute to building the homeland with knowledge, compassion, and aspirations to serve.

Nguyen Quoc Dung said that this year more than 7,500 children of civil servants and employees across Dong Nai city have been honored with the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" title. Notably, many students have achieved national- and provincial-level success in scientific research and science and technology competitions. These achievements demonstrate the spirit of learning, determination to overcome difficulties, and aspirations of trade union members' children. Many families have had two children honored in the same year, while some students have received the title multiple times at different education levels.

According to Nguyen Quoc Dung, the Dong Nai City Labor Federation organizes commendation ceremonies in various localities and enterprises to promptly recognize the achievements of these students. "Every achievement recognized today is the result of the students' continuous efforts, the sacrifices and care of their families, the dedication of their teachers, and the companionship of the Trade Union. Many students have overcome difficult circumstances to achieve the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" title. They are truly admirable and deserving of recognition," emphasized he.

Recognizing children of civil servants and employees who achieve the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" title not only acknowledges their accomplishments but also creates a positive impact within enterprises and society. When employees see their children receiving attention and encouragement, they become more committed to their enterprises and units and are motivated to work harder. This initiative is also one of the practical activities demonstrating the trade union organizations' long-standing commitment to providing comprehensive care for their members and workers.

Nguyen Tan Phap, Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Pou Chen Vietnam Enterprise Ltd., said the highest value of the movement lies not in the awards themselves but in nurturing confidence and aspirations to strive for excellence among the younger generation. He said this is also the meaningful message the program seeks to spread to every worker's family.

The awards may one day be placed in a corner of a study area, and the certificates of merit may fade with time. What remains, however, is the belief instilled in every student that diligence and perseverance can make every dream achievable. That enduring belief is the most lasting value that the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" movement continues to spread among thousands of workers' families.
