During the 2nd working session of the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) for the 2026–2031 term on the afternoon of June 24, the 12th HCYU Central Committee declared the conclusion of its 2022–2027 term, and the congress elected the 13th HCYU Central Committee (referred to as the Central Committee) for the 2026–2031 term.

The congress elected 119 members to the Central Committee for the 2026–2031 term. Among them, two Dong Nai delegates were elected to the Central Committee, including Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Secretary of the City Youth Union; and Nguyen Hieu Trung, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union.
Their election is a source of honor and pride for the youth and the HCYU organization of Dong Nai City. It also reflects the HCYU Central Committee's recognition of the efforts and contributions made by HCYU officials in HCYU work and youth and children's movements over the past few years.

The election of two Dong Nai delegates to the Central Committee is expected to create opportunities for the voices, thoughts, and aspirations of the City's HCYU members and young people to be conveyed more promptly to the HCYU Central Committee. It is also expected to help share Dong Nai youth’s successful models and best practices nationwide, while attracting additional resources and creating more support mechanisms for local youth and children’s activities.

At the 1st conference of the Central Committee, held on the evening of June 24, delegates elected a Standing Board of 25 members as well as other key leadership positions. Bui Quang Huy was elected First Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee; Nguyen Minh Triet was elected Permanent Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee; and Nguyen Tuong Lam, Nguyen Kim Quy, and Ho Hong Nguyen were elected Secretaries of the HCYU Central Committee.
The conference also elected the Central Committee’s Inspection Committee, comprising 17 members. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Committee, was elected Chairman of the Inspection Committee.
