Responding to the association’s proposals, Nguyen Kim Long said Dong Nai recently welcomed Party General Secretary and State President To Lam during a working visit with local leaders. Accordingly, top leader To Lam outlined a number of development opportunities for Dong Nai and suggested several special mechanisms and policies that could support the city’s future growth. Alongside support from the Central government, Dong Nai remains committed to supporting businesses throughout their investment and business operations in the locality, including Japanese enterprises, he emphasized.

The Permanent Vice Chairman expressed his hope that Japanese businesses would continue exploring investment opportunities in Dong Nai. He noted that the city is actively encouraging investment in industrial parks in Northern Dong Nai and has introduced a range of incentives for investors choosing to locate there. While these industrial parks are farther from Long Thanh International Airport, they offer favorable conditions for agro-processing industries thanks to their proximity to raw-material production areas.
He also expressed his expectation that the meeting would provide the Japanese Business Association with a deeper understanding of Dong Nai, creating a foundation for new cooperation opportunities between the city and Japanese partners. He called on the association to continue serving as an effective bridge, helping connect Dong Nai with Japanese enterprises and investors seeking new business and investment opportunities.
Japan ranks second in the number of foreign-invested projects in Dong Nai and third in total registered investment capital, with 288 projects worth nearly US$5.9 billion. Over the years, Japanese enterprises have made significant contributions to the city’s socio-economic development by creating jobs, supporting industrial development and promoting trade and services. They have played a particularly important role in the development of Dong Nai’s supporting industries.
