As the fireworks display concluded on the evening of May 18, marking the ceremony announcing the National Assembly’s resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City, a new development journey for this dynamic land at the Southeastern region’s gateway officially began.

Nearly a week after the event, feelings of pride and excitement continue to resonate among local residents. Streets decorated with flags, banners, and streamers, a carefully staged epic art program, and dazzling fireworks illuminating the night sky left a profound impression on the people of the newly established city. The fluttering red flags across the streets have further strengthened public confidence and created fresh momentum for Dong Nai’s new stage of development.

In particular, the presence of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, together with his major directives for Dong Nai City, not only reflects the close attention of the Central Government but also strongly inspires the aspiration for development among the local Party Committee, authorities, and people.

Amid the red flags continuing to brighten streets across the city, Dong Nai is embarking on a new development journey with confidence, aspiration, and a strong spirit of emulation befitting a young city on the rise.

Since that significant milestone, Dong Nai has embarked on a new journey with new momentum and a new spirit. At administrative centers, officials and civil servants have immediately begun their work with urgency and responsibility; at transport, school, and public infrastructure construction sites, the atmosphere of labor is vibrant. In residential areas, citizens are actively participating in maintaining environmental hygiene, urban beautification, and building a civilized lifestyle.

As a locality with a rich revolutionary tradition, dynamic in industrial development and international integration, Dong Nai stands before a great opportunity to achieve strong breakthroughs in the coming development phase. Beyond a new appearance, Dong Nai also carries new requirements regarding development mindset, a spirit of innovation, and an increasingly better sense of responsibility in serving the people.

At the ceremony announcing the National Assembly's resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City, Vu Hong Van, Party Central Committee Member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the Dong Nai National Assembly Delegation, emphasized that the City Party Committee is determined to turn aspirations into action, potential into momentum, and advantages into strength for development; to build a team of officials with sufficient mettle, intellect, and a spirit of innovation, daring to think and daring to act, to join the whole country in realizing the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation. At the same time, the city will faithfully carry out the instructions of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam: "Unity is a timeless truth."

That spirit is also spreading widely among people from all walks of life. Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Luong Van Xuan, from Long Phuoc Commune, expressed his joy and pride at Dong Nai’s establishment as a city, said, “Not only myself, but also the armed forces and local people are delighted and excited about this new development milestone for our homeland.”

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Man, Principal of Bao Quang Secondary School in Bao Vinh Ward, also expressed her pride in attending the ceremony announcing the National Assembly’s resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City. She voiced her hope that the city will continue to develop strongly, contributing to further improvements in both the material and spiritual lives of local residents.

In Loc Ninh ward, Nguyen Thi Nghia, Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee and Chairwoman of the ward People’s Committee, said the locality has identified the acceleration of public investment disbursement as a key political task aimed at promoting socio-economic growth, improving infrastructure, and enhancing people’s living standards. Accordingly, the ward is focusing on reviewing the effectiveness of each project, prioritizing urgent works, while accelerating site clearance and mobilizing resources for the implementation of transport, education, and essential public welfare projects to better serve local residents.

Following the milestone of its establishment as a city, Dong Nai has been undergoing gradual transformation with an increasingly modern urban landscape, a more favorable investment environment, and an administrative apparatus that is becoming more streamlined, effective, and efficient under the two-tier local government model. The current spirit of emulation is not merely a response to a major event but is increasingly serving as a driving force for the entire city to accelerate development toward the goal of building a dynamic, modern, and livable urban center.

Expectations for Dong Nai City were also emphasized by Party General Secretary To Lam at the announcement ceremony. He stated that Dong Nai must pursue higher development standards and rise to become a dynamic urban center with strong competitiveness and significant influence in the southeastern region and nationwide, while striving to develop into a livable and startup-friendly city in Asia and the world.
