Trinh Duc Thang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee under the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee:

Dong Nai still has ample room for development

The Government’s approval of the proposal dossier for the establishment of 10 wards and Dong Nai as a centrally governed city is joyful news and a great source of pride not only for me but for all Dong Nai residents.

Dong Nai currently ranks second nationwide in the number of trade union members and workers. When becoming a centrally governed city, Dong Nai will be entitled to apply specific mechanisms, and regional wage levels will increase, helping union members and workers improve their quality of life and feel secure in contributing to enterprise development. This will serve as an important driving force for maintaining stability and promoting local socio-economic growth. I believe Dong Nai still has considerable room for development in transport, infrastructure, and human resources, and when becoming a centrally governed city, it will emerge as a strong growth pole in the southern region, further promoting socio-economic development, national defense, and security in the area. I hope Dong Nai will be planned methodically and adapt effectively to current development trends.

Specialist Level II Doctor Luu Van Dung,

Deputy Director of Dong Nai Department of Health:

Building the healthcare sector worthy of a centrally governed city

Dong Nai currently has an extensive healthcare network from provincial to grassroots levels and ranks among the leading localities nationwide in the number of private healthcare facilities. This shows that Dong Nai has effectively implemented healthcare socialization, helping residents easily access various forms of high-quality medical services. At present, the province has two hospitals classified as specialized units: Dong Nai General Hospital and Thong Nhat General Hospital. Dong Nai’s healthcare sector is striving to have one more hospital reach the specialized level by 2030.

For the healthcare sector to develop in line with the status of a centrally governed city, we hope to continue receiving greater attention, leadership, direction, and investment from authorities at all levels. The healthcare sector’s goal is comprehensive development and innovation in workforce, infrastructure, equipment, service provision, leadership, and administration, ensuring that all residents receive the best healthcare services and moving toward patient satisfaction.

Hoang Lan Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of Dong Xoai Ward Women’s Union:

Implementing comprehensive solutions across sectors

Dong Nai’s transition into a centrally governed city is a strategic policy and an opportunity for the province to make breakthroughs in economic development, transform its appearance, and improve residents’ quality of life.

To become a modern, dynamic, and livable city in the future, I believe Dong Nai needs to focus on implementing comprehensive solutions across fields, such as urban planning, land management, investment in transport connectivity infrastructure, digital society building, upgrading healthcare and education, and preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic communities in the locality. In addition, it is necessary to improve human resource quality and strengthen the capacity of officials from residential areas upward.

As the “leader” of the Dong Xoai Ward Women’s Union, in addition to protecting the lawful and legitimate rights and interests of women, I propose organizing more training courses to equip women with knowledge and business skills on digital platforms, use of online public services, and vocational training while creating conditions for women to access preferential loans to start businesses with green and sustainable economic models, thereby contributing to Dong Nai’s development.

Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Director of Luat Viet A  Accounting Co., Ltd. (Ho Nai ward):

Dong Nai will become a more dynamic and attractive market

Regarding the news that Dong Nai will become a centrally governed city, the business community in the locality has expressed consensus and high expectations. I am also very pleased with this information and believe it will be an important turning point, opening new development opportunities for both the locality and enterprises.

When Dong Nai develops into a centrally governed urban area, the infrastructure system will first be invested in more comprehensively and connected more strongly. This will help reduce logistics and operating costs for enterprises, thereby improving production and business efficiency. In addition, an improved investment environment will attract more enterprises, especially foreign investors, contributing to job creation and economic growth. I believe that with this orientation, Dong Nai will not only enhance its position but also become a more dynamic and attractive market for domestic and foreign businesses.

Vo Minh Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Long Duc 1 neighborhood

(Tam Phuoc ward):

Paying attention to improving people's cultural and spiritual life

Like many other Dong Nai residents, I have high expectations for further changes and development in education, healthcare, and social security in order to improve people’s quality of life and match the locality’s development stature in the new period. In my opinion, becoming a centrally governed city will help Dong Nai in general and Tam Phuoc ward in particular gain more conditions to synchronously connect transport systems, creating momentum for new development. The cultural and spiritual life of local residents will be increasingly improved through well-planned and spacious social welfare works.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, a resident from Loc Quang commune:

Wishing for access to better healthcare services

People in remote, isolated, and border areas, like us, were very happy when hearing the Government approved the proposal dossier for establishing 10 wards and Dong Nai as a centrally governed city. Residents are delighted because in the coming time Dong Nai will develop more strongly and prosperously, and people will enjoy more achievements.

I hope the province will introduce mechanisms and policies to support residents, especially the elderly in remote and isolated areas, in accessing better healthcare services. In addition, schools should strengthen life skills education for students, especially swimming skills, to prevent tragic drowning accidents like those occurring in recent times. The younger generation is the future of the country, and I hope they will be trained and educated systematically to become citizens with sufficient competence and qualities to meet development requirements in the new era.
