Technical inspection teams carried out a comprehensive check of all terminal equipment at toll stations, including vehicle identification antennas, surveillance cameras, E-tag readers, data processing units, transmission systems connected to the operations center, and revenue management software. Various simulated scenarios were also implemented to assess vehicle recognition capability, transaction error handling, data reconciliation, and system security. The comprehensive inspection aims to ensure accuracy in vehicle identification, synchronization of user account data, and to minimize errors once toll collection officially begins, with the goal of maintaining smooth traffic flow and preventing congestion during real-world operations.
Also on March 1, the Minister of Construction issued a document requesting relevant units to urgently complete procedures to organize toll collection at five component projects on the North - South Expressway, including the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressways, starting from March 2.
Among the expressways required to begin toll collection from March 2, the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway runs through Dong Nai province. The expressway route is about 99 km long, passing through Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces, with more than 51 km traversing Dong Nai.
According to a notice from Road Management Office IV.2 under Road Management Zone IV on the public disclosure of expressway toll collection information, the toll rate applied to the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, pursuant to Document No. 2248/BXD-CDBVN dated February 25, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Construction, is 1,300 VND per kilometer for vehicles traveling the route.
