On March 11, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 532/QD- BGDĐT on the recognition of high-quality colleges. The decision states that College of Machinery and Irrigation is recognized as a high-quality college, having met the requirements specified in Article 5 of Circular No. 35/2021/TT- BLĐTBXH, dated December 30, 2021, by the Minister of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs, which stipulates the criteria and procedures for evaluating and recognizing high-quality colleges (Circular No. 35).
College of Machinery and Irrigation is responsible for developing and implementing an action plan to address existing shortcomings in order to maintain and improve the quality of vocational education in accordance with current regulations and will be subject to inspection by competent authorities during the recognition period.
According to Article 5 of Circular No. 35, a college is recognized as a high-quality college when it meets the following requirements: achieving accreditation standards for vocational education institutions and obtaining a total evaluation score of 80 points or higher based on the criteria for high-quality colleges, with each criterion scoring at least 60% of its maximum points.
The criteria include training scale, qualifications of teaching staff, cooperation with enterprises in training and post-training employment, school governance, and students’ competency after graduation.
Currently, there are 10 colleges nationwide recognized as high-quality colleges, including College of Agricultural Mechanics, College of Industrial Techniques, Thanh Hoa Medical College, Thai Binh Medical College, Hue Industrial College, College of Machinery and Irrigation, Lilama 2 International Technology College, Cao Thang Technical College, Ba Ria - Vung Tau College of Technology, and Vien Dong College. Among these, two colleges are located in Dong Nai province, namely College of Machinery and Irrigation and Lilama 2 International Technology College.
