At the conference, representatives of the two provinces provided overviews of their key characteristics and notable socio-economic achievements in 2025, as well as projected growth for the first quarter of 2026. They also highlighted each locality’s development strengths, especially following the administrative restructuring process and the implementation of the two-tier local government model, which has resulted in expanded land area, population size, and development space.

Leaders of the two provinces exchanged and discussed a number of key issues aimed at concretizing socio-economic development orientations, laying the groundwork for a future comprehensive cooperation agreement between Dong Nai and Lam Dong. Both sides emphasized the importance of regional connectivity through synchronized transport infrastructure development, including aviation and the potential development of urban rail systems. The two provinces will also coordinate in natural resources and environmental management, particularly regarding the Dong Nai River basin and forest protection.

Leaders of Dong Nai province proposed sharing experiences and effective practices with Lam Dong in industrial development and investment attraction while also expressing readiness to introduce potential investors to Lam Dong. Meanwhile, Lam Dong leaders expect Dong Nai - with its strong industrial base and large population - to serve as both a processing hub and a major consumer market for Lam Dong’s high-quality agricultural products and fresh flowers.

To enhance the value of agricultural products, the two provinces agreed to strengthen cooperation in developing inter-regional agricultural value chains, focusing on strengthening production linkages, deep processing, and market expansion - particularly through major supermarket systems in Dong Nai. In addition, cooperation will be expanded in labor and tourism - sectors with significant untapped potential for development in both provinces.

He emphasized that this is not only the aspiration of Dong Nai but also of the Party Organization, government, and people of Lam Dong since Dong Nai’s strong development will create momentum for Lam Dong’s growth.

The Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee noted that Dong Nai holds many advantages, particularly its urban development orientation associated with Long Thanh International Airport, along with its seaport and logistics systems. These strengths could support the export of Lam Dong’s high-quality agricultural products to international markets via both air and sea routes. Therefore, the two provinces should soon develop a concrete cooperation program to effectively implement the agreed-upon contents.
