‘Spring on the Border – Tet on the Sea and Islands’ programme spreads warmth in Loc Thanh commune

On the morning of January 31, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), in coordination with Amway Vietnam Co., Ltd., organized the handover of the “Lighting Up Rural Roads” project and the “Border Bamboo Hedge” project in Loc Thanh commune, Dong Nai province.

The program was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the HCYU; Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of the provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union; leaders of the provincial Border Guard Command; representatives of partner units; and a large number of residents of Loc Thanh commune.

The two projects handed over in Loc Thanh commune contribute to improving living conditions for rural residents in border areas, while also enhancing the effectiveness of efforts to ensure security and order, traffic safety, and environmental protection. In particular, the “Border Bamboo Hedge” project helps create a green, sustainable landscape that supports safeguarding national border sovereignty.

As part of the program, the Central Committee of the HCYU, along with participating units and partner enterprises, presented meaningful gifts to the local community. Specifically, the Central Committee coordinated with Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage Co., Ltd. to present 50 Tet gift packages to disadvantaged households in Loc Thanh commune, and with the Youth Union of the Vietnam Rubber Group to donate 20 bicycles to residents in the locality.

The Central Committee delegation of the HCYU, together with representatives of partner units, also visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station, handed over solar-powered lighting projects to border guard posts, and presented meaningful gifts to local students.

The program targeting border communes carries practical significance, demonstrating the pioneering and volunteer role of youth nationwide and the social responsibility of businesses in caring for the lives of people in disadvantaged areas.
