At a conference in late January to roll out tasks for Dong Nai’s industry and trade sector in 2026, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the DoIT Vu Ngoc Long said the sector will focus on developing industry, trade, and services. In particular, it will work with relevant departments, agencies, and localities to accelerate investment in large-scale logistics centers linked to ports, Long Thanh International Airport, inland container depots (ICD), border gates, and inter-regional transport corridors. The sector will also develop wholesale markets and modern commercial centers aligned with digital transformation and e-commerce, thereby expanding market space for enterprises.
According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, in January 2026, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the province were estimated at VND 40.5 trillion, up 2.57 percent from the previous month and 13.97 percent year-on-year. Previously, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in 2025 reached more than VND 465.8 trillion, an increase of over 18.6 percent compared to 2024.
In recent years, the province’s trade and service infrastructure has been gradually modernized, with an expanding network of traditional markets, supermarkets, shopping malls, and several large-scale commercial projects attracting investment. The development of the trade and service network in Dong Nai has created increasingly diverse shopping and service options for consumers, ranging from traditional to modern formats, thereby making a significant contribution to the province’s socio-economic development.
