VFF system and its members focus on caring for people on Tet holiday

On January 9, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Dong Nai province held its 2nd session, term I, for the 2025–2030 tenure.

The meeting was attended by leaders of the province’s departments and agencies; members of the VFF of the province; and Chairpersons of the VFF of the communes and wards.

In 2025, Dong Nai VFF and its member organizations focused on seven key priorities, including strengthening propaganda, outreach, and mobilization efforts to unite people from all walks of life, enhance social consensus, and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc. They improved social supervision and criticism while practising democracy and actively participating in the development of the Party, the State, and the political system. Emphasis was also placed on encouraging people from all walks of life to engage in emulation and innovation, effectively implementing major campaigns and patriotic emulation movements. Dong Nai VFF and its member organizations also fostered people’s role as masters and their spirit of self-management, building united and prosperous neighborhoods. They kept reforming organizational structures, enhanced the capacity of VFF cadres at all levels, and engaged in the development of science and technology, innovation, and the building of a digital society.

Dong Nai VFF ran close to 25,000 outreach events and carried out 238 oversight activities. The Standing Committee of the Provincial VFF Committee build plan and convened the first consultation conference to finalize the structure, composition, and number of candidates for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the provincial People’s Council for 2026–2031 tenure. As part of a nationwide drive to replace temporary and dilapidated homes, the province built or renovated more than 1,000 houses worth over VND 87 billion. Its “For the Poor” Fund raised VND 206.8 billion to support disadvantaged people, and over VND 115 billion was mobilized by the province to aid people in other provinces affected by natural disasters.

Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of Dong Nai VFF, outlined four groups of priority tasks for the VFF in 2026. These include concretizing key areas of VFF work to ensure feasibility with clear assignment of personnel, tasks, timelines, and outcomes, and running programs and campaigns in a focused, targeted way that aligns with the locality’s political tasks while delivering real benefits to the community.

The Chairwoman of Dong Nai VFF emphasized that digital transformation across the VFF must be implemented in a synchronized and substantive mamner. She called for strengthening capacity in grasping and synthesizing public opinion, particularly in cyberspace. The VFF committees at the commune level were urged to promptly review facilities and infrastructure serving digital transformation so that, regular online meetings can be held starting from 2026 onward. The VFF officers were asked to show dedication and improve their professional skills. Closer coordination with authorities and agencies is aimed at broadening the scope and impact of the VFF movements.

With the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026 approaching, Huynh Thi Hang called on the VFF and its member organizations to provide gifts for the poor and the vulnerable, ensuring that everyone can celebrate Tet in comfort.

On this occasion, the VFF Standing Committee of Dong Nai province honored 50 collectives and 138 individuals for their exceptional contributions to VFF work and in building great national unity bloc in 2025.
