The year 2025 concluded with many notable achievements for Gia Kiem Commune in Dong Nai Province. Amid the dual challenges of administrative reorganisation and broader economic fluctuations, the Commune maintained its steady growth, while local residents' living standards continued to improve.
These results reflect the combined efforts, unity, and strong determination of the entire political system, with administrative reform emerging as a key driving force for local socio-economic development.
BETTER SERVICES FOR THE PUBLIC
Identifying 2025 as the final year of the 2021–2025 socio-economic development plan, the Gia Kiem Communal Party Committee and People’s Committee early reached a consensus on stabilising the organisational apparatus following administrative consolidation, enhancing the effectiveness of state management, and creating the most favourable environment for residents and enterprises to conduct production and business activities with confidence.

According to La Nguyen Minh Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Gia Kiem Communal Party Committee and Chairman of the Communal People’s Committee, the most important priority is to ensure uninterrupted public services under all circumstances. All policies and plans must ultimately serve the people better, thereby creating favourable conditions for sustainable socio-economic development.
Thanks to a proactive and consistent approach, Gia Kiem Commune achieved and exceeded 24 out of 25 targets set for 2025, laying a solid foundation for the next stage of development. Within this broader picture, the Gia Kiem Communal Public Administration Service Centre has served as the “face” of grassroots government. In 2025, the centre received nearly 8,600 administrative dossiers, of which 98.7% were submitted via online public services. Meanwhile, 99.57% of dossiers were resolved on time or ahead of schedule, and public satisfaction reached 100%. All of these figures far surpassed assigned targets.
Bui Nguyen Trung Thong, Deputy Director of the Gia Kiem Communal Public Administration Service Centre, attributed these outcomes to the close and regular leadership of the Party Committee and People’s Committee, as well as the high sense of responsibility among officials and civil servants. The commune considers every dossier processed on time and every satisfied smile from residents as a measure of its work performance. Beyond processing procedures, the centre has actively supported residents in accessing online public services through QR codes, instructional videos, social media platforms, and on-site assistance at service counters. Efforts have also been made to promote dossier digitisation and provide free drinking water and Wi-Fi, thereby contributing to a professional, transparent, and people-centred administrative culture.
Nguyen Van An, a resident of Gia Kiem Commune, shared that he had previously been hesitant to use online services. Still, with dedicated guidance from officials, he now finds the process convenient, requiring fewer trips and delivering faster results.
POSITIVE SOCIO-ECONOMIC MOMENTUM
Building on a streamlined administrative environment, Gia Kiem’s economy has continued to maintain positive growth.
La Nguyen Minh Hien noted that in 2025, the Communal People’s Committee promptly translated resolutions of the Party Committee and People’s Council into concrete action programmes and plans across various sectors, clearly assigning responsibilities to unit heads. Implementation was carried out in a coordinated and consistent manner, with regular monitoring and inspections to address difficulties and obstacles promptly. Leadership and governance adhered to the principle of democratic centralism, promoting unity and collective wisdom while enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management.
At present, the commune is home to 59 enterprises operating in the industrial and construction sectors, providing employment for more than 800 workers and contributing significantly to income growth and social stability. Preparations for investment and the completion of procedures related to the Quang Trung, Quang Trung 1 and Quang Trung 2 industrial clusters have been prioritised, with gradual resolution of land and planning issues to create a favourable foundation for future investment attraction.
The trade and service sector has continued to develop dynamically. The commune currently hosts six commercial bank branches, facilitating access to credit for residents and businesses. Many household businesses have proactively shifted sales methods, applying e-commerce solutions and cashless payment systems, thereby expanding markets and improving operational efficiency.
Alongside economic development, Gia Kiem commune has allocated substantial resources to infrastructure investment and social welfare. In 2025, total public investment capital in the commune exceeded 21.2 billion VND, with an estimated disbursement rate of 96 percent, focusing on transport infrastructure, schools and cultural facilities, contributing to noticeable improvements in the rural landscape.
Agriculture has also seen clear improvements in quality, with accelerated crop restructuring. Notably, the commune has established three production linkage chains, been granted 13 growing area codes and four packing facility codes, enhancing product traceability and expanding agricultural market access. Livestock farming has developed steadily towards a farm-based and biosecure model, while disease prevention and control efforts have been implemented decisively to minimise losses for farmers. In parallel, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme has continued to leave its mark, with nine products achieving three-star certification, gradually strengthening the Gia Kiem agricultural brand in the market.
With a solid foundation already in place, coupled with a spirit of innovation, responsibility, and a strong aspiration for development, Gia Kiem commune is confidently entering a new phase, one characterised by sustainable, modern growth and closer engagement with the people.
