Dong Nai trade union members, workers look toward the 14th National Party Congress

Amid the nationwide drive to emulate achievements in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, officials, union members, and workers in Dong Nai Province have demonstrated their commitment through concrete, practical actions, projects, and initiatives closely aligned with professional duties and real-world demands.

Union members and workers place high expectations on the Congress’s strategic decisions regarding socio-economic development and major orientations to improve people’s livelihoods, including those of the working class.

Emulation toward the Party Congress

As one of the country’s major industrial centers, Dong Nai has, under the Party’s leadership, achieved significant socio-economic milestones in recent years. With more than 1.4 million workers, the province has focused on implementing comprehensive solutions to ensure social security, wages, social insurance, improved working conditions, and higher incomes for workers. These practical, life-centered policies have laid a solid foundation, strengthened the confidence of officials, union members, and workers in the Party’s sound leadership, and contributed to local socio-economic development.

In the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress, officials, union members, and workers across the province have been enthusiastically working with a vibrant spirit of emulation. At agencies, units, and enterprises, they have promoted dynamism and creativity, proactively participating in patriotic emulation movements. These efforts help raise labor productivity and work efficiency, affirming the pioneering role and responsibility of the working class in integration and renewal.

Nguyen Minh Tam, Party Cell Secretary and Chairman of the Trade Union of Pou Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Vien Commune), said that these days the workforce is in high spirits, not only due to abundant orders and stable incomes, but also because Lunar New Year wages and bonuses are ensured. Many workers demonstrate determination through concrete actions such as participating in improvement initiatives, fostering a vibrant emulation atmosphere that helps enterprises enhance productivity and product quality.

According to Nguyen Minh Tam, the company’s Party cell and grassroots trade union have intensified communication and political-ideological education to build strong unity in awareness and action, especially the spirit of setting examples in fulfilling assigned tasks. Notably, Party members who are frontline production workers clearly identify their pioneering, exemplary role, aligning words with deeds and contributing to the building of clean, strong grassroots Party organizations that meet the requirements of the new development phase.

To practically celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labour launched a Patriotic Emulation Movement under the theme: “Union members and workers compete through innovation, accelerate digital transformation, and improve productivity and efficiency; bring the Party’s resolutions, those of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the Vietnam Trade Union into life.” Trade unions at all levels mobilize members and workers to study and upskill, enhance professional qualifications and craftsmanship; innovate work processes, rationalize production; and build and develop a “digital worker” workforce, while striving to increase labor productivity and work effectiveness.

Grassroots trade unions at the commune and ward levels have rolled out numerous practical activities to welcome the Congress, coordinating with mass organizations to strengthen communication by displaying national flags, banners, and slogans at offices and enterprises, and organizing cultural, artistic, sports, and exchange activities. These initiatives have attracted broad participation, creating an upbeat, confident atmosphere oriented toward the 14th National Party Congress.

Confidence and high expectations

Looking to the 14th National Party Congress, officials, union members, and workers in the province hope the Congress will further prioritize essential issues such as stable employment, sustainable incomes, safe working conditions, social housing, education, healthcare, and worker welfare. The Party’s major orientations linking economic development with workers’ livelihoods are seen as a vital anchor, enabling workers to work with peace of mind, commit long-term to enterprises and localities, and contribute significantly to provincial and national socio-economic development.

Amid the vibrant emulation atmosphere welcoming the 14th National Party Congress, Dong Nai’s officials, union members, and workers are demonstrating high political resolve and determination to successfully fulfill objectives and tasks, contributing to socio-economic development and to building a strong Party and political system.

Le Nhat Hanh, a worker at Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Binh Ward), shared that, as a migrant worker in Dong Nai, he hopes the 14th National Party Congress will further improve workers' quality of life and incomes, with practical policies to enhance working conditions and social welfare. He also expressed hope for continued attention to wage policies, social housing development, and cultural facilities for workers in industrial zones.

Nguyen Huu Dai, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Committee for Industrial Parks under the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labour, expressed hope that the 14th National Party Congress will continue to affirm workers’ central position in the national development strategy, issuing breakthrough policies on wages, employment, housing, and social security, especially for industrial park workers, while energizing efforts to build a modern working class and strengthen and renew trade union organizations so that union officials at all levels can act more effectively and translate Party resolutions into workers’ daily lives.

Upholding traditions of dynamism, creativity, and solidarity, Dong Nai’s workers express confidence in the Party’s sound guidelines and decisions that meet the people’s legitimate aspirations, thereby creating strong momentum for national development. In particular, breakthrough decisions in the coming term are expected to provide an essential foundation for building a professional working environment and fully unleashing the capabilities and sense of responsibility of officials, union members, and workers.
