The year 2026 opens as the country continues to strongly promote a comprehensive and synchronous renewal process. Its aspiration for rapid and sustainable development has become the mainstream in political and social life, particularly as the entire Party, people, and armed forces are actively engaging in emulation movements to achieve outstanding results in celebration of the 14th National Party Congress.

For Dong Nai, a land with a rich revolutionary tradition, dynamic development, and a pivotal position in the Southern Key Economic Region, the requirement to make breakthroughs in the new development era has become increasingly urgent. Nearly 40 years of renewal have shown that all the province's achievements originate from the people, are driven by the people, and are for the people. Bringing into full play the spirit, will, and strength of the people is the decisive factor for Dong Nai to achieve breakthrough development and confidently advance into the era of national rise.
Continuing to promote the people’s role as the central subject
From the years of arduous struggle for independence and national reunification to the process of overcoming the consequences of war, renewal and international integration, the people of Dong Nai have always been the creative subjects and the central force behind every victory. During the national renewal process, Dong Nai has risen to become one of the country’s leading localities in industrial development, investment attraction, urbanisation and new-style rural development. Modern industrial parks, high-tech agricultural zones, and increasingly civilised, well-planned urban areas all bear the strong imprint of social consensus and the industrious, creative, proactive spirit of the people.
Harnessing the strength of the people is not just a slogan; it must be concretised through practical policies that put the happiness of the people first. Every citizen of Dong Nai, regardless of sector or position, can contribute to the province's overall development through creative labour, a strong sense of responsibility, and a deep love for the homeland and the nation.
The year 2026 marks the beginning of a new development era, an era of digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, knowledge-based economy and deep integration. This is also the first year of implementing the 2026–2030 five-year plan, with the double-digit growth target. Alongside favourable conditions and opportunities, Dong Nai will face many difficulties and challenges. In this context, the role of the people becomes more important than ever. The people are not only beneficiaries, but also participants in policymaking, implementation, and supervision of development processes. When the spirit, will, and strength of the people are fully awakened and mobilised, they will form a great and enduring internal force, laying the foundation for all strategic breakthroughs.
Awakening patriotism and the aspiration for development
Patriotism, self-reliance, and the aspiration to rise are core values forged over generations of residents in Dong Nai. In the new context, an important task is to continue awakening, nurturing, and widely spreading these values, transforming them into concrete, practical development drivers. Accordingly, Party committees and authorities in Dong Nai need to intensify propaganda and political and ideological education, helping cadres, Party members, and the people gain a deeper awareness of Dong Nai's position and role in the overall development strategy of the region and the country, as well as their own responsibilities and missions towards the province's development. The aspiration for development must become a shared goal, a “command from the heart”, motivating the actions of every individual and community.
At the same time, it is essential to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity and mutual affection – a distinctive cultural trait of the Dong Nai people. In the context of market economy and international integration, diversity of interests and lifestyles is inevitable, yet solidarity remains a fundamental value and a firm spiritual anchor to overcome all difficulties and challenges. Solidarity must be upheld not only within the Party and government, but throughout society; among social strata, ethnic groups and religions; and between local residents and migrant workers living and working in the province.
Building social trust – a prerequisite for mobilising the people’s strength
Trust is the “adhesive” that binds the Party, the State and the people together, and is a prerequisite for mobilising the combined strength of the entire society. Amid intertwined fluctuations and challenges, consolidating and strengthening the people’s trust in the Party’s leadership and the State’s governance is of special significance. To achieve this, cadres and Party members, especially leaders, must be exemplary, practise what they preach, stay close to the people, respect the people and listen to them. Any manifestation of bureaucracy, detachment from the people, harassment, or corruption erodes trust and stifles the people's creativity. Therefore, building a clean and strong Party and political system is not only a key task, but also a direct requirement for mobilising the people’s strength. In addition, it is necessary to promptly and thoroughly address legitimate concerns and aspirations of the people, especially in areas related to social security, environment, housing and employment. When the legitimate rights and interests of the people are ensured, social trust will be reinforced, forming a solid foundation for consensus and collective effort.
The people’s right to mastery – the foundation of consensus
A major lesson drawn from practice is that wherever the people's right to mastery is respected and fully promoted, there is a strong consensus, generating the combined strength to achieve development goals successfully. Therefore, harnessing the people's strength must begin with ensuring and expanding socialist democracy. Party committees and authorities in Dong Nai should continue to effectively implement the principle of "the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit", in association with administrative reform and the building of a service-oriented, transparent, and modern administration. All major policies directly affecting people’s lives must be made public and transparent, with wide consultation, ensuring harmony of interests among the State, enterprises and the people. In the implementation of infrastructure, urban and industrial development projects, if mass mobilisation is carried out effectively, the legitimate interests of the people are properly addressed, and sustainable livelihoods are ensured after land acquisition, the people will show consensus and actively participate in the implementation. Conversely, a lack of democracy and dialogue can easily give rise to complaints and discontent, affecting social stability and the investment environment. Therefore, promoting the people's right to mastery is not only a political requirement but also a sustainable development solution for Dong Nai.
Looking ahead, as the new-term Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress sets out its vision, goals, and strategic breakthroughs, while thoroughly grasping the Party's major orientations, Dong Nai stands before great opportunities to make breakthroughs and become a modern industrial, service, and logistics centre with rapid and sustainable development. However, these opportunities can only be realised if the province fully harnesses human resources – the most important resource of all.
Welcoming the New Year 2026 with renewed confidence and aspirations, under the guidance of the Resolution of the new-term Congress of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, the Party organisation, authorities, and people of Dong Nai are determined to unite in solidarity, fully mobilising the spirit, will, and strength of the people. This is the most crucial factor for the province to achieve strong breakthroughs in the new development era, making worthy contributions to the cause of building a prosperous and happy Vietnam.
