Attending the conference were: Major General Dang Van Lam, Deputy Commander of Military Region 7; Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee; Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; along with members of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leaders of communes and wards across the province, and officials receiving appointment decisions.

At the conference, delegates heard the announcement of Decision No. 84/QD-UBND dated January 11, 2026, issued by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, on the dismissal from the position of Commander of Commune-Level Military Commands in Dong Nai Province, applying to 95 Commanders of commune- and ward-level Military Commands across the province. The reason for the personnel changes was the reassignment of work positions in accordance with Conclusion No. 228-KL/TW dated December 31, 2025, of the Politburo and the Party Secretariat.

At the same time, Decision No. 01/QDD-QK7 dated January 10, 2026, of Military Region 7 on personnel appointments was announced. Accordingly, officers from the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command were appointed for a fixed term to hold the positions of Commanders of commune- and ward-level Military Commands throughout Dong Nai Province.

At the conference, Bui Thi Yen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, announced decisions of the Provincial Party Committee on the designation of newly appointed Commanders to participate in the Executive Committees and Standing Boards of the Party Committees of communes and wards across the province.

On behalf of the officers receiving appointment decisions as Commanders of commune-level Military Commands, Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Xuan Hiep expressed his appreciation for the attention and support of the leadership of Military Region 7, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, and the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command. He pledged before the leaders of Military Region 7 and Dong Nai Province to make every effort, maintain unity within the commune-level Military Commands, and remain determined to effectively advise on and implement local defense tasks under the new circumstances.

Delivering directive remarks at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh commended and acknowledged the contributions of the former 95 Commanders of commune- and ward-level Military Commands to the development of local armed forces. She also congratulated the 95 new Commanders, who are regular officers deployed to the commune level.
Ton Ngoc Hanh requested that the 95 newly appointed Commanders quickly grasp the actual situation in their localities, maintain unity within the commune-level Military Commands, and effectively advise on and successfully carry out local defense tasks.
While presenting the appointment decisions and providing guidance to the new Commanders, Colonel Vo Thanh Danh, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command, stated that Dong Nai is the first province to decisively and swiftly implement the conclusions of the Politburo and the Party Secretariat, and to make determined efforts to strictly comply with regulations in announcing the deployment of regular officers to serve as Commanders of commune-level Military Commands.
Colonel Vo Thanh Danh congratulated the 95 newly appointed Commanders and emphasized that immediately after the handover, Commanders of all 95 commune-level units must promptly identify tasks to be carried out, take responsibility for thoroughly studying relevant documents and regulations, and effectively perform their duties. In the immediate term, they must focus on properly preparing for military recruitment, strengthening training and combat readiness, and coordinating with functional forces to ensure absolute safety for major political events such as the 14th National Party Congress, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term, as well as holidays and commemorative events, and to ensure public safety during the Spring season and the Lunar New Year.
