(ĐN) - On the afternoon of January 5, Member of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Ha chaired a meeting to hear the Department of Construction report on the completion of the dossier for the plan to add an interchange linking the Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway with Provincial Road 777 (DT.777).

At the meeting, Duong Van Hieu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Construction, said the department had worked with relevant agencies and stakeholders to establish a basis for reporting to the Department for Roads of Vietnam on adding the interchange to the Road Infrastructure Network Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. The process also includes identifying potential funding sources, agreeing on technical solutions and an execution schedule, while ensuring the proposal does not affect the progress, quality, or delivery timeline of the Dau Giay-Tan Phu Expressway project.
Based on the outcomes of the discussion, the Department of Construction gives out three proposals: positioning the interchange near Km23+327, which generally meets the required spacing from other interchanges along the expressway; classifying it as a long-term component to be considered for investment after 2030 and separate from the Dau Giay-Tan Phu project schedule; and continuing research to complete and refine the planning dossier.

Taking into account comments from relevant departments, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Ha endorsed the Department of Construction proposal. The leader of the Provincial People’s Committee said the interchange linking the Dau Giay–Tan Phu Expressway with DT.777 would support local growth and improve regional connectivity.
The Provincial leader directed the Department of Construction to finalize a report so as to seek opinions from the Department for Roads of Vietnam on the policy of selecting the proposed option and the interchange location. At the same time, the Department of Construction is to coordinate with the agency to review, update, and add the interchange into the road transport infrastructure planning as required by regulations.
