Renewing Party-building work: A foundation for sustainable development

In 2025, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, efforts to strengthen and rectify the Party have been further intensified. From the grassroots to the provincial level, a spirit of innovation, responsibility, and exemplary conduct has strongly permeated, fostering trust among Party officials, members, and the public, laying a solid foundation for the province’s development in the new era. Currently, Dong Nai has 99 provincial-level Party committees, over 1,900 grassroots Party organizations, and more than 131,400 Party members. Throughout 2025, under the guidance of the Central government and Provincial Party Committees, Party-building work in Dong Nai has been carried out proactively and efficiently. In particular, the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission advised on the synchronized implementation of tasks under the “6 clear principles” - clear responsibility, clear tasks, clear timelines, clear results, clear accountability, and clear oversight. Within a short period, the province successfully streamlined its organizational structure to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Since July 1, 2025, the two-tier local government model officially has come into effect, ensuring smooth governance from the provincial level to the grassroots and better serving residents and businesses. A significant highlight of 2025 was the preparation and successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels, culminating in the First Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. Personnel selection process was conducted democratically, transparently, and in accordance with regulations. The congresses proceeded on schedule, creating new political momentum and promptly translating resolutions into action.

Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, affirmed: “The remarkable results in Party-building and organizational work in Dong Nai have directly contributed to significant achievements in the province’s socio-economic development in 2025. More importantly, they vividly demonstrate the effectiveness of building a clean and strong Party, closely aligned with practical requirements and the interests of the people. “On the foundation of a streamlined organizational structure, a cadre contingent with dedication, vision, and responsibility, and a strong spirit of innovation, Dong Nai confidently steps into the new term with ambitions for rapid and sustainable development, asserting its role as a dynamic hub in the Southern Key Economic Region and making increasingly significant contributions to the country’s overall development.”

Entering 2026, as Dong Nai moves into a new phase of development with heightened demands for innovation and breakthroughs, Party-building work will continue to be implemented in a coordinated, decisive, and substantive manner. From consolidating grassroots Party organizations and enhancing the quality of cadres and Party members to tightening discipline, promoting exemplary conduct, and fostering accountability, these positive developments in Party-building are establishing a solid political foundation and driving Dong Nai toward rapid, sustainable growth.

Strong economic growth reinforces Dong Nai’s role as regional locomotive

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth marks a remarkable achievement for Dong Nai in 2025. Through sustained efforts to achieve socio-economic development goals, the province recorded an economic growth rate of 9.63% in 2025, surpassing the Government's target. This growth rate is the highest in the Southeast region and ranked 7th among 34 provinces and cities, affirming Dong Nai’s position as one of the key growth poles in the region and the country. This impressive growth reflects the concerted efforts of the entire political system, business community, and residents across the province.

“Dong Nai province is currently seizing a ‘golden opportunity’ for breakthrough growth, aiming for sustainable, prosperous, civilized, and modern development, where residents enjoy increasingly prosperous and happy lives. The province is determined to meet the criteria for a centrally run city by 2030. These achievements will provide a solid foundation to maintain sustainable growth in the future, making a significant contribution to the country’s overall development.”

Lee Insu, General Director of HCM VINA Co., Ltd., Becamex Industrial Park – Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai province, shared: “Dong Nai offers a highly favorable investment environment in many aspects, including infrastructure, human resources, and administrative procedures. Thanks to a stable workforce, convenient logistics access, and proactive cooperation from local authorities, our business operations have quickly stabilized and grown. We consider Dong Nai a competitive environment for business and plan to continue investing in the future.”

Alongside strong economic growth, 2025 marks a milestone for Dong Nai, as the province’s state budget revenue reaches 100 trillion VND for the first time, surpassing the government's target. This remarkable achievement in budget collection not only secures resources for development investment and social welfare but also showcases Dong Nai’s determination and capability in economic and financial management.

In 2025, Dong Nai province records significant advancements in urban development and transport infrastructure, with several lifeline roads completed on schedule. These strategic projects have emerged as a "lever" for the province's rapid progression in the new era - the era of national rise. In December 2025 alone, the province marked a series of milestones, including the inauguration, commencement, and technical opening of large-scale projects with a total investment reaching tens of trillions VND. Most notably, Long Thanh International Airport successfully welcomed its first technical flight on December 19. With commercial operations slated to begin in 2026, the airport is poised to become a significant catalyst for Dong Nai’s robust economic growth throughout the 2026-2030 period.

New-style rural areas in fresh look shaped from a prosperous countryside

Alongside its economic development efforts, Dong Nai province has consistently emphasized the construction of new-style rural areas as a pathway to ensure a prosperous, happy, civilized, and modern life for rural residents. After more than a decade of implementing the National Target Program on building new-style rural areas, and with accelerated efforts throughout this year, Dong Nai has made remarkable strides in transforming its rural areas. From modern infrastructure and efficient agricultural production to an improved quality of life for residents, the countryside has undergone comprehensive change.

Throughout the construction of new-style rural areas, local authorities in Dong Nai have prioritized investment in modern, synchronized rural infrastructure, particularly transportation networks, electricity, water supply, and facilities serving production. Additionally, education, healthcare, cultural, and sports infrastructure have been upgraded, enhancing not only material living standards but also residents' spiritual and cultural life.

Dieu Ma Giang, a resident of the border commune of Dak O, expressed his satisfaction: “Previously, this road was narrow. The people are very pleased with the government’s expansion of the road. The wider road makes it much easier for us to transport goods, and students can travel to school more conveniently. Along with other projects, the people benefit greatly and are very happy that the Party and the State have invested in residents in remote areas and ethnic minority communities here.”

As of now, 67 out of 72 communes in the province have met new-style rural standards, including 25 communes reaching advanced new-style rural status and 8 communes achieving model new-style rural areas status. Dong Nai’s journey of building new-style rural areas has contributed to comprehensive rural transformation and significant improvements in residents’ livelihoods. In 2025, the average per capita income in rural areas reaches 72 million VND, higher than the national average. Notably, many advanced and model new-style rural communes achieve per capita incomes exceeding 90 million VND per year, with some communes surpassing 100 million VND per person annually. The province has also established 100 model residential areas.

“According to the targets set by the sector, 70% of communes must meet the new-style rural standards, including 10% achieving modern new-style rural criteria. Accordingly, approximately 72 out of 95 communes and wards will meet these standards,” said Nguyen Van Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province.

To build new-style rural areas in line with advanced, modern standards, Dong Nai will continue to drive strong transformations in its countryside. The rural areas in Dong Nai are set to become a modern, civilized, and sustainable living space.
