The year 2025 marks a development phase of special significance for Dong Nai’s industrial sector. Amid a global economic environment marked by continued complexity, prolonged geopolitical conflicts, slow recovery of global supply chains, and rising production costs, the province’s industry has maintained a high and stable growth rate with strong spillover effects.”. This stands as vivid evidence of the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Organization, the effectiveness of government administration, and the resilience and dynamism of the business community.

According to statistics from the Dong Nai Statistics Office, the Industrial Production Index (IIP) in 2025 is estimated to increase by 15.22% year on year—the highest growth rate in many years-contributing 6.06 percentage points to an overall GRDP growth of 9.63% for the province in 2025 compared with 2024. At a time when many localities and economies continue to face difficulties, this result not only reflects a recovery in output but, more importantly, demonstrates that Dong Nai’s industrial foundation continues to be firmly consolidated, maintaining its role as a pillar of the province’s socio-economic development.
Consistent leadership of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - a decisive factor in development orientation
From a political theory perspective, the achievements of Dong Nai’s industrial sector in 2025 stem first and foremost from the comprehensive and consistent leadership of the Provincial Party Standing Committee in steadfastly pursuing the goal of sustainable industrial development, linking economic growth with social stability, ensuring national defense and security, and improving people’s livelihoods.
The Provincial Party Standing Committee has focused on resolutely translating major resolutions and policies of the Central Government into the province’s practical conditions, while promptly providing direction and removing “bottlenecks” in industrial development, particularly in terms of infrastructure, the investment environment, human resources, and administrative reform. This high level of unity in leadership has fostered confidence and generated motivation across the entire political system, the business community, and the workforce.
On that basis, the Provincial People’s Committee has effectively exercised its executive role, implementing synchronized solutions to develop industrial production in a practical, flexible, and efficient manner. Administrative procedure reform and support for enterprises in accessing capital, labor, production sites, and consumer markets have been intensified; many difficulties and obstacles arising during production and business operations have been promptly addressed, enabling enterprises to confidently maintain and expand their activities.
New momentum from strategic infrastructure and spillover effects on industry
A strategically significant milestone in 2025 was the official launch of the first domestic flights at Long Thanh International Airport on December 19, 2025. This event represents not only the initial operation of a key national transport infrastructure project, but also a new development driver with the potential to restructure the province’s industrial space and production value chains over the long term.
Long Thanh Airport opens major opportunities for Dong Nai to attract investment and develop logistics, supporting industries, high-tech industries, and related services. Enhanced connectivity with major domestic and international economic centers will help strengthen the competitiveness of Dong Nai’s industrial products, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to participate more deeply in global supply chains.
Broad-based industrial growth and an increasingly solid sectoral structure
From a sectoral perspective, the manufacturing and processing industry continues to serve as the primary growth engine, posting a 15.56% increase in 2025. Notably, all 27 second-level industrial sectors recorded growth, with none declining—underscoring a comprehensive and widespread recovery and development.
Several key industries achieved high and stable growth rates:
- Rubber and plastics products: up 24.85%;
- Paper and paper products: up 17.5%;
- Textiles: up 9.16%; garments: up 9.37%;
- Leather and footwear: up 12.86%;
- Electronics: up 15.83%;
- Electrical equipment: up 14.0%;
- Power generation and distribution: up 11.97%, ensuring electricity supply for production and daily life.
These figures clearly reflect enterprises’ proactive adaptability as well as the effectiveness of provincial policies supporting production, market expansion, and competitiveness enhancement.
The business community - the central driver of growth
A notable highlight in the 2025 industrial landscape is the increasingly prominent role of the business community. The foreign direct investment (FDI) sector continues to be the main growth driver, making substantial contributions to industrial output value and export turnover, while generating spillover effects in technology, management, and production standards.
At the same time, domestic enterprises are becoming increasingly dynamic and flexible, gradually enhancing their production capacity and market adaptability. The industrial labor utilization index rose by 4.01%, while the product consumption index increased by 11.13%, indicating that enterprises are not only maintaining production but are also prepared for medium- and long-term development plans.
Overall assessment and guiding message for the next phase
From a political theory perspective, it can be affirmed that 2025 is a pivotal year for Dong Nai’s industrial sector. The achievements attained are significant not only in economic terms, but also in affirming the effectiveness of the Provincial Party Organization’s leadership, the governing capacity of the authorities, and the spirit of solidarity and resilience of the business community.
In the coming period, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the decisive administration of the Provincial People’s Committee, Dong Nai should continue to steadfastly pursue in-depth industrial development, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainability; accelerate digital and green transformation; develop key and supporting industries; and fully leverage advantages from strategic infrastructure projects, especially Long Thanh International Airport and Phuoc An Port.
It can be confidently affirmed that, with the solid foundation built in 2025, together with high political determination across the entire political system and the close partnership of the business community, Dong Nai’s industrial sector will continue to uphold its pillar role and remain a bright spot in the economic landscape, providing strong momentum for the province’s socio-economic development in the 2026–2030 period and beyond, making meaningful contributions to the country’s industrialization and modernization.
