As part of the program: CaReMe: Cardio - Renal - Metabolic disease screening “For a Healthier Vietnam” in Dong Nai Province in 2025, on the afternoon of November 1, a working delegation from the Ministry of Health, led by Vu Manh Ha, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Minister of Health, conducted working sessions and presented medical equipment to the Chon Thanh Ward Health Station and Nha Bich Commune Health Station.
Receiving and working with the working delegation was Specialist Level II Doctor Do Thi Nguyen, Director of Dong Nai Department of Health.

During the meeting, Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health, Do Thi Nguyen, reported on the organisation and restructuring of the grassroots healthcare system and personnel at communes and wards following the implementation of the two-tier local administrative model.
Health stations at communes and wards also raised several challenges, including deteriorating facilities, limited equipment and supplies, shortages of medicines, and insufficient staffing, particularly a lack of specialist doctors. They also cited heavy workloads while support policies remain inadequate.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Vu Manh Ha highly appreciated the proactiveness, responsibility, and effectiveness demonstrated in the implementation of grassroots healthcare activities. He requested that local authorities continue investing synchronously in medical equipment and facilities, and actively promote digital transformation in health management and medical examination and treatment, ensuring that all citizens have timely access to basic, quality healthcare services.

After the meeting, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of health station facilities, observed professional activities, and inquired about medical examination and treatment operations at Chon Thanh Ward and Nha Bich Commune Health Stations. On this occasion, they presented each health station with one portable ultrasound machine and one portable electrocardiograph (four machines in total, worth nearly VND 1 billion), supporting local medical examination and treatment and contributing to the improvement of public health.
